History of Sasha’s Salad and Sandwich Dressing

Sasha’s Salad & Sandwich Dressings was introduced back in June 2006 by founder Kathy Taft and her husband Ken Taft. Kathy had spent the better half of 35 years in the food industry developing her cooking and baking skills. Eventually Kathy found her passion, with trial and error for almost 2 years, she developed Sasha’s Dressings. After many dinner experiments and taste tests from family and friends, Kathy developed her recipes.

Sasha's dressings are a unique blend of "heart healthy" natural ingredients combined to offer a distinctly different yet incredibly tasty addition to your dining table.

The Story Behind Sasha’s Dressing

Named after their daughter, Sasha, Ken and Kathy developed the name, labels, and ingredients of their dressing. All that remained was to name their company LLC and what better way to do that than to name if after their son Ken JR Taft. Ken and Kathy started taking their dressings to farmers markets and craft fairs, introducing what would turn into a legacy.

By chance, current owner Emily Kroll, was working with her sister at a craft fair in Nashota, WI. After seeing how she interacted with customers at the fair, Ken asked Emily how old she was and if she would be interested in a job. Only 17 at the time, Emily was very excited for this new adventure. She started working farmers markets and craft fairs for Ken and Kathy selling the dressings to their many fans.

Back in 2020 Emily’s mother ran into Ken at a market and Ken mentioned that they were looking to finally enjoy their retirement and sell the business. What better person to take over than the person they hired many years back? She knows the dressings in and out and finally made her dream come true in March 2021.
